- Cloud models, your own keys and local models in KolHive when access opens. It is in closed testing now.
How you connect your own AI
Open Settings
Go to the AI section of KolHive's settings.
Pick a provider
Use our cloud models, connect your own AI service, or run a model on your own computer.
Add the key or the address
Paste your API key, or the address of the model server on your computer.
Test the connection
KolHive checks the connection before the assistant relies on it.
Questions and answers
Can I use an AI chat subscription?
A chat subscription does not necessarily include API access. Your AI service bills API access under its own terms.
Can I connect my own AI service?
Use our cloud models, connect your own AI service, or run a model on your own computer.
Can the AI run completely on my computer?
Run a model on your own computer and connect the assistant to it.
Who bills me when I use my own key?
Requests made with your own key are billed by that provider, under your account with them.
